First Day of Winter

As you all know first hand, there was quite a bit of snow on the ground just in time for the first day of winter. Conrad, Daisy, Zora, and I decided to celebrate the first day of winter out in the snow.

We also had a great visit with Sam, Liz and Mike on our way home from Burlington on Sunday. Conrad just wanted to follow Sam around the house and do whatever Sam was doing. It was really cute. They sure could get into some trouble together...

Photo Shoot

We had Conrad's one year pictures taken the other day. Our friend Jackie came over to take the photo shoot and here is a preview of what happened...

Happy Halloween!

It was a dark and scary night on the streets of Chelan. The ground was damp from an afternoon rain, but that did not stop the hundreds of kids from terrorizing the town.... Watch out for the prowling tiger that will jump out and get you!

This was our first time trick-or-treating, and Conrad was in awe of all the costumes and kids. He wouldn't even growl until we were almost done and stopped at the Shell station to trick-or-treat from Grandma and Grandpa who were passing out candy there.

Here are all the kids we met up with.

And here is Conrad with his dogs.

Last weekend Conrad went to the pumpkin patch with his cousin Sam. They were so cute.

Apple Harvest

This the season for Apple Harvest in the Apple Capital of the world. Conrad recieved an apple picking lesson from Great Grampa Clyde this year and we spent three days picking apples. We even took some people with us. The first day, my good friend Krista was in town so we had to make sure she took some apples back to Seattle. The second day it was just Conrad and me. And the third day we took our neighbor, Ann, and our friend Kim met us up there. All three days were beautiful. My new little apple picker did get a little tired while we were picking, so he decided to take a little nap on my back. He is so precious...

Birthday Boy!

We celebrated Conrad's first birthday on September 20th with a Dinosaur Mexican Fiesta. It was fun! We ate delicious Mexican food for lunch, then yummy dinosaur cake (or loch ness monster cake or dragon or aligator...) and the kids did a great job of destroying the pinata. We had a great turnout (over 50 people showed up!) and sunny skies. Thanks again to all who participated in the fiesta!

Brave Little Man

Around ten and eleven months, some children start to explore their world on foot. Usually by pulling themselves up on furniture and cruising around. Conrad is just now starting to walk with the help of me or Papa and a little scooter Sam let us borrow. He gets going pretty fast and then crashes into other toys and the furniture. He even gets brave enough to let go and balance on his own once in a while. Then I say "Good Job, Conrad!" and he starts to clap for himself and loses is balance and then falls down. He thinks he is pretty darn cute, and I have to agree. Judge for your self...

Summer Fun!

If you haven't been to the Lake yet this year, you better come quick. The weather is slowly cooling down and I am starting to wear jeans again, and it is still August. Here are a few pics from the Lake.
