Christmas Time Fun

We have been busy with many holiday activities and visits over the past few weeks. We had Christmas in Burlington, Santa Story Time, Conrad's first Christmas Program, Building a Gingerbread house with the Hackenmillers, and of course Christmas Day! Fun, fun, fun!

Apple Peeler

Can anyone tell me what you did back in the day before there was the Apple-Peeler-Slicer-Corer? Or a child who wanted to help you in the kitchen? I have to admit I really enjoyed working with Conrad in the kitchen making apple pie filling. He did a great job and cut out a good chunk of time off the total process, which is about two hours!

Christmas Tree Hunt!!

We set out on our Christmas Tree hunting adventure early in the day for fear of hitting some scary weather, but the only thing scary we encountered was a young boy who just learned about snowball fights... Yep. It was pretty fun!!! Except the part where I had to carry Breslynn the whole time, and Conrad calling from behind "I can't do it any longer...Mama I NEED you!!". Oh the adventures we have with our children... Oh yah. The other part that wasn't so much fun was when they cut the tree down and forgot to yell "Timber" and it fell right on top of me, who was just trying to get a good picture! Breslynn did discover that she loves to eat snow!

Fall Time Fun!!!

We love the trees around our house in the summer but hate it when all the leaves fall off this time of year. For now, we have two helpers that like to rake and haul the leaves away. But most of all they like to jump in the huge piles!! (Conrad does have a trailer that goes with his tractor, but thought the sled would do a better job....funny kid!)

Trick Or Treat???

Well.... we managed to get a few cute pictures of Tinkerbell, Firefighter Conrad, Hippie Chick, and Hound Dog. Breslynn really enjoyed all the costumes we saw while trick-or-treating downtown, and Conrad only had eyes for the scary ones. So we shall see what he wants to be next year!!! Conrad also got to help hand out candy for Grandpa Randy at the Shell Stations and at John J's house, but I am pretty sure he ate almost as much as he handed out!

Fisher Boy and Fisher Girl

Conrad and Breslynn had their first fishing adventure with Auntie Val. They made it long enough to pose for a few pictures. Auntie Val was very patient, but she can't wait until they get a little older! Very fun day anyway.

Happy 4th Birthday Conrad!!! You are an amazing little man. I am so proud to be your Mom! We celebrated with an Alligator theme and S.P.O.T. donation location. It was an awesome day.
